Authorities on Monday identified the two brothers killed over the weekend in a single-car crash in Lindenhurst.
The Lake County Coroner’s Office said Antony Tiscareno, 16, and Alonso Tiscareno, 11, both of Wadsworth, died from blunt force injuries.
The brothers were in a car with two other people when the vehicle crashed in the 1700 block of Grand Avenue in Lindenhurst.
Firefighters who arrived at the scene at 11:37 p.m. Friday found the car in flames. All four occupants had to be extricated, authorities said.
The brothers were pronounced dead at the scene. The other two occupants were taken to a hospital.
Information about their conditions was not immediately available.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Lindenhurst police and the Major Crash Assistance Team. Officials are asking anyone with additional information to contact the Lindenhurst Police at (847) 356-5400.
