Park Ridge police: Road rage incident spills over from Chicago

The following information is taken from Park Ridge police reports and releases. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Road rage

On July 10 near Vine and Oak Streets, a road rage incident between two drivers spilled over from Chicago into Park Ridge. The driver of one of the vehicles said he felt he or his passenger was in physical danger.

Car theft 

On July 9, between 6 and 10 p.m. near the 700 block of Busse Highway, someone stole the victim’s 2019 Infiniti QX60.

Burglary Attempt

Between July 3 and 5, someone damaged the door frame to a home in the 100 block of Wisner in a suspected burglary attempt. The deadbolt appeared to still be intact and they did not make entry.

On July 4 at about 9 p.m., surveillance camera footage caught an unknown person banging on the doorway of a home in the 200 block of North Broadway Avenue, and multiple people fleeing. The next morning, the victim discovered damage to the doorframe.

Battery

On July 11 at about 1:20 a.m., a 44-year-old woman from the 3300 block of Carroll Street, Chicago, was arrested and accused of battery at 1775 W. Dempster St., which is the address of Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.

On July 11 at about 5:15 p.m., a 37-year-old man from the 1500 block of East Central Avenue, Arlington Heights, was arrested and accused of battery at 1775 W. Dempster St., which is the address of Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
