Four pedestrians struck, including 8-year-old girl, when driver flees traffic stop Monday night

The driver of a stolen black Dodge Durango reversed into a police car before driving away during a traffic stop Monday night in Brighton Park, striking two more vehicles and injuring four pedestrians, Chicago police said.

The crash occurred in an alley on the 2500 block of West 46th Street just before 11:30 p.m. Monday, police said.

An eight-year-old girl was among the injured. Chicago Fire Department personnel treated her on the scene.

The other three women struck by the stolen vehicle were transported to medical centers in the area, two to Holy Cross Hospital and one to Mt. Sinai Hospital. They are currently in good condition, police said.

One person is in police custody and detectives are investigating.
