Two men were shot in Englewood early Wednesday morning when unidentified gunmen fired at them from an alleyway, Chicago police said.
The men were shot at approximately 1 a.m. on the 6300 block of South Carpenter Street. One of the victims, 22, sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body and was pronounced dead after both men were transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center. The other 21-year-old man was shot in his right forearm and is currently in good condition, police said.
No one is in custody and detectives are investigating.
