On Saturday morning, a man was found unresponsive in the water at the 31st Street Harbor Dock.
The 36-year-old man was discovered and rescued around 4:32 a.m. near 3100 South Erickson Drive, at the 31st Street Harbor Dock E in the Douglas neighborhood. He was taken to the University of Chicago Hospital in critical condition.
The incident is currently being investigated.
And, in what police are so far categorizing as an unrelated incident, CPD’s marine unit is resuming its search this morning for a missing individual.
That man was one of 16 people on a boat that capsized near 31st Street Beach. Three other individuals who were on the boat were taken to Insight Hospital and listed in good condition.
