A woman died Friday night after the pickup truck she was driving crashed and rolled over in a ditch in Pine Township, police said.
The woman has not been identified, according to a release from the Porter County Sheriff’s Department.
Around 8:52 p.m. on July 26, police received a report of a pickup truck that had crashed and rolled over in the area of US 20 and County Road 1400 North, police said.
An initial investigation and a witness statement show that a 2000 Nissan Frontier pickup
truck was east on US Highway 20 in the area of CR 1400 N when, for an unknown
reason, the pickup truck drove off of the roadway, crashing and rolling over into a ditch, police said.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police are not yet releasing additional details about the crash.
