Park Ridge police: Nurse assaulted; juveniles damage Uptown restaurant

The following items were taken from Park Ridge Police Department reports. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

Criminal Damage to Property

A group of juveniles entered Poke Burrito at 12 S. Northwest Highway through the rear entrance and threw a brick at a wall, causing damage to it on July 19 at 3:41 p.m.

Aggravated Battery to a Nurse

A female juvenile from Wonder Lake was arrested on two counts of aggravated battery to a nurse at 200 S. Vine Ave. on July 23 at 10 a.m.

Motor Vehicle Theft

An unknown offender stole a 2012 Audi A4 parked in front of a residence in the 500-600 block of North Merrill Street during the overnight hours of July 25.

Theft/Burglary from Motor Vehicle

An unknown offender stole the rear license plate from a victim’s 2008 Toyota Sienna between July 16 and 21 near Oakton Street and Knight Avenue.

An unknown offender stole personal property from a 2019 Chevrolet while it was parked in the driveway of a residence in the 100-200 block of East Kathleen Drive during the overnight hours of July 21.

An unknown offender broke into a GMC Yukon and stole personal property from it in the 100-200 block of Cuttriss Street on July 22 at 1:45 a.m.

An unknown offender stole personal property from an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence in the 1700-1800 block of Walnut Street on July 20 at approximately 11:15 a.m.

Attempted theft from a vehicle

Two unknown offenders were caught on surveillance footage exiting a minivan and rummaging through a victim’s 2015 Jeep Renegade in the 100-200 block of Columbia Avenue on July 23 at 3:30 a.m. There was no property taken from the vehicle, Park Ridge police said.

Theft $500 and under

A package was stolen from a victim’s front porch on the 600-700 block of Courtland Avenue between the hours of 4:13 p.m. and 4:28 p.m. on July 20.

An unknown offender stole a 2021 Giant Roam 2 XL bicycle from the Park Ridge Metra station at 100 North Summit Avenue sometime on July 22 between 7 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. Police said the bicycle was not secured by a lock.

Possession of a controlled substance

A 43-year-old Carol Stream man was arrested for the possession of a controlled substance, driving in a vehicle with expired registration and an electronic device violation at 1200 S. Dee Rd. on July 22 at 8:45 p.m.

A 26-year-old Wilmington man was arrested for the possession of a controlled substance, driving in a vehicle with expired registration and an electronic device violation at 205 W. Touhy Ave. on July 24 at 3:40 p.m.

Traffic Violations

A 36-year-old Chicago man was arrested for driving on a revoked license and a tinted window violation at the intersection of Touhy Avenue and Chester Avenue on July 28 at 3:44 a.m.

False complaint to 911

A 20-year-old Park Ridge man was arrested for making a false complain to 911 at 200 S. Vine Ave. on July 24 at 10:22 a.m.
