Chicago police said multiple gunmen exited a sedan overnight and opened fire at another vehicle striking at least three victims in the Austin neighborhood.
Shortly after 12:30 a.m. Saturday, several people exited a white sedan and opened fire and began shooting at another vehicle, striking the person inside and two other victims who were standing nearby, police said.
A 33-year-old man who was inside the vehicle the gunmen were aiming toward suffered a wound to the left thigh and was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was in good condition. A 43-year-old man who was standing nearby was wounded to the face, and was taken to Loretto Hospital in critical condition. A third man, 51, who also was standing nearby suffered wounds to the torso and leg, and was taken in serious condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.
No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
