Aggravated discharge of a firearm
A 24-year-old Gurnee man was arrested for the aggravated discharge of a firearm in the 2000 block of Oakton Street in Evanston on Aug. 19 at 5:39 p.m.
Retail theft
Two male offenders stole 15 expensive shirts from the HQ Chicago at 137 N. Northwest Highway on Aug. 17 at 4:31 p.m. The offenders distracted the employee by having them search the back of the store for shoes. The offenders fled in a four-door Hyundai.
A 48-year-old Chicago man was arrested for retail theft at 800 Devon Ave. on Aug. 20 at 2:20 a.m.
Motor Vehicle Theft
An unknown offender stole an unlocked blue 2022 BMW X5 with the keys in it when it was parked in the street in the 900 block of South Hamlin Avenue between 12 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. According to Park Ridge police, the vehicle was later recovered in Chicago.
Damage to city property
A 30-year-old Schiller Park man was arrested on Aug. 25 at 2:44 a.m. for damage to city property and leaving the roadway in the area of Greenwood Avenue and Busse Highway.
Burglary from a motor vehicle
An unknown offender stole personal items from a locked 2017 Kia Sportage in the 800-900 block of Florence Drive during the overnight hours of Aug. 20.
Theft $500 and under
A victim who works in the pediatrics section of Advocate Lutheran General Hospital had her wallet stolen from her workspace on Aug. 19 sometime between 12 p.m. and 12:40 p.m.
Traffic violations
A 39-year-old Crest Hill man was arrested for driving a vehicle while his license was suspended, as well as an electronic communication device violation in the area of Touhy Avenue and Talcott Road on Aug. 19 at 8:20 p.m.
A 29-year-old Chicago man was arrested for driving without a license and not having insuring for the vehicle in the 300 block of Grant Place on Aug. 20 at 2:19 a.m.
A 19-year-old man was arrested for driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured vehicle and a seatbelt violation at the intersection of Higgins Road and Dee Road on Aug. 20 at 6:27 p.m.
A 34-year-old Chicago man was arrested for driving on a suspended license while the vehicle’s registration was suspended, at the intersection of Dee Road and Devon Avenue on Aug. 22 at 4:24 p.m.
A 30-year-old Danville man was arrested for driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and not having his front license plate affixed to his vehicle in the 9400 block of Higgins Road in Rosemont on Aug. 25 at 1:41 a.m.
