COVID-19 vaccine: How many people are eligible because of preexisting conditions? Search for your county

Mayor Lori Lightfoot announced Wednesday that Chicago will allow people with preexisting conditions to be eligible for the coronavirus vaccine on March 29. The move comes nearly a month after Gov. J.B. Pritzker opened similar vaccine eligibility statewide Feb. 25. The city of Chicago and most suburban counties, however, said, at the time, that they were not ready to vaccinate people with health conditions because of vaccine supply issues.
