Victim pronounced dead, two others wounded late Friday night on West Side

One victim was found fatally wounded outside on a sidewalk and two others were discovered inside a residence slightly before midnight Saturday on the West Side in the Garfield Park neighborhood, Chicago police said.

Shortly before midnight Saturday, the victims were found in the 200 block of North Kedzie Avenue on a sidewalk and inside a residence. One of the victims remains unidentified and suffered multiple wounds to the body. She was taken to Stroger Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

A 25-year-old woman suffered a gunshot wound to the right shoulder and was also taken to Stroger Hospital where she was listed in fair condition. A third victim, 23, suffered a gunshot wound to the back and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where she was listed in fair condition, police said.

No one was in custody for the triple shooting and detectives were investigating the circumstances leading up to the deadly attack. Exactly where the shooting took place was unclear.
