Authorities continue to investigate an overnight robbery last week at a 7-Eleven convenience store in Park Ridge.
According to a police department news release, at approximately 1 a.m. on Oct. 4, an alleged offender walked into the 7-Eleven store at 814 Higgins Road and “confronted the clerk while displaying a knife.”
The individual demanded that the store worker give the would-be robber money from the cash register and the worker’s own wallet. Then he fled on foot, running westbound away from the store, according to the release.
Police describe the offender as being about 5’7” to 5’9” in height, wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt, a black puffy hooded jacket with fur around the hood, blue jeans, black shoes, white rubber gloves and carrying a gray-colored backpack.
