A teenager has died after being shot in the city’s Woodlawn neighborhood Tuesday evening, according to police.
The boy, 15, was shot in the abdomen and his left leg in an alley in the 6600 block of South Champlain Avenue around 8:25 p.m., authorities said.
He was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Chicago Police Department said that as of Tuesday evening no one was in custody and detectives were investigating the shooting.
