A fire in Aurora on Wednesday afternoon left a two-story house uninhabitable, officials said.
Aurora firefighters responded to reports of a structure fire in the 2400 block of Legacy Drive at around 3:20 p.m., according to a news release from the Aurora Fire Department.
Firefighters arriving at the scene encountered heavy fire at the back exterior of the single-family house, officials said in the release. So, firefighters coordinated to attack the fire from both the inside and the outside of the home, the release stated.
While crews fought the fires in the back of the home, other teams entered the house through the front to fight fires in the kitchen and on the second floor, officials said.
The fire was brought under control within 15 minutes of firefighters arriving at the house, according to the release.
All occupants were able to get out of the house before firefighters arrived, and no one was hurt, officials said.
The fire brought four engine companies, two truck companies, two medical units and five chief officers to the scene, which totaled 26 personnel, according to the release.
Officials said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
