A Highland man is facing felony charges after stalking his ex-wife and threatening her companion, texting in Serbian that he would “drink his blood,” court records show.
Slobodan Dimitrijevic, 50, was charged Oct. 29 with intimidation and stalking, both Level 6 felonies, plus four misdemeanors — criminal trespass, two counts of harassment and one count of intimidation.
He is in custody, held on a $3,000 cash bond.
At the Munster police station, the woman and her companion told cops on Oct. 26 that Dimitrijevic kept calling and harassing her. The other man said Dimitrijevic threatened to kill him, saying he was a “dead man,” the affidavit states.
She showed cops various violent texts from Dimitrijevic, including one where said he would drink the man’s blood.
Days later, the woman reported Dimitrijevic was still harassing her. Officers went to her home on Oct. 29, where Dimitrijevic appeared drunk with slurred speech.
A court date is not set.
The case was transferred Wednesday to Lake Superior Judge Gina Jones, from Judge Julie Cantrell, who recused herself.
