A 59-year-old man was fatally wounded Monday evening in a shooting in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side, Chicago police said.
About 6:20 p.m., the victim was near an alley in the 6400 block of South Parnell Avenue when he was struck by gunfire to the arm and the ear. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
