Naperville police bust Aurora man on drug selling, gun possession charges

An Aurora man has been charged with selling drugs in Naperville following an eight-month investigation conducted by the Naperville Police Department.

Alfonso Peregrino-Becerra, of the 100 block of South Edgelawn Drive, was taken into custody on Nov. 14 in the 1900 block of West Jefferson Avenue, a news release said. Police recovered 29.6 grams of suspected cocaine in his possession and 50.1 grams of suspected cocaine and a loaded Springfield Hellcat 9mm handgun in his car, the release said.

Peregrino-Becerra has been charged with one count each of unlawful possession of a weapon-armed violence and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver and two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, all of which are class X felonies.
