SWAT team responds to Roseland apartment where person was shooting from 2nd floor window

The SWAT team was still on the scene of a Roseland apartment building where a male was seen firing gunshots late Tuesday night from a second floor apartment, Chicago police said.

Shortly after 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a call of shots fired in the first block of East 101st Place. A witness told officers they saw a male firing shots from a second floor window, police said.

The male retreated back inside the apartment and officers called a SWAT situation at the scene.

No one has been injured and the situation was still ongoing as of Wednesday morning.
