Elgin High School culinary students competed in a burger cook-off judged by the mayor and others Friday. Geraldo Depaz and Mario Perez won with their “Sweetness” burger featuring candied bacon and caramelized onions. It will appear on the Chicago Street Pour House menu starting in January.
