An 11-year-old boy was listed in good condition after being wounded as a passenger in a car traveling Friday morning in the Wicker Park neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly before 8:30 a.m., two vehicles were involved in a minor traffic crash. When one of the drivers attempted to exchange information, the other driver pulled out a weapon and began firing, stiriking an 11-year-old passenger, police said.
The boy was taken to Stroger Hospital with a gunshot wound to the left hand.
The gunman fled the scene and no one was in custody.
