Two women were left in serious condition overnight after being stabbed during an argument inside a residence in the Hegewisch neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly after 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, the women, 35 and 67, were stabbed during an argument at a residence in the 13000 block of South Muskegon Avenue. Police said a known male offender began stabbing the victims during an argument.
The younger victim was taken in serious condition with stab wounds to the body to UChicago Medicine. The older woman also was taken to the same hospital with wounds to the abdomen and listed in serious condition, police said.
One person was in custody and charges were pending.
