One man is dead and two others are injured following an argument turned deadly on the West Side early Monday morning, authorities said.
Around 1:30 am, two 32-year-old men got into an argument with a 25-year-old man on the sidewalk in the 2000 block of S. Paulina, Chicago police said. During the verbal altercation the three men began firing shots at each other, police said.
The 25-year-old man sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body and was transported to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
One 32-year-old man was transported to Stroger Hospital in critical condition after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds, while the other 32-year-old was transported to Stroger Hospital in good condition with a gunshot wound to the arm, police said.
No one is in custody and Area Three detectives were investigating, police said.
