Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle on Tuesday said she was confident local residents won’t be deterred from getting vaccinated against COVID-19 because they’re worried about the few people who experienced blood clots after getting the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Cook County halted Johnson & Johnson vaccinations, following recommendations from the FDA and CDC after reports of six people experiencing blood clots about two weeks after vaccination.
