Mayor Lori Lightfoot again called for the release of body worn camera footage of a Chicago police officer fatally shooting 13-year old Adam Toledo but said the city needs to be sensitive to the family’s needs. The mayor said she has viewed the shooting videos, but did not offer any timeline on when they might be released to the public. Acknowledging the “difficult set of circumstances” and the Toledo family’s grief, Lightfoot said she believes it’s important to be transparent.
