A jewelry store and a restaurant were burglarized within minutes of each other overnight in the Norwood Park neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Officers responded Thursday morning shortly before 4:30 a.m. to a jewelry store in the 7000 block of West Higgins Avenue and found a damaged front glass door. A preliminary investigation revealed five males entered the store before fleeing in a silver sedan, police said.
Earlier Thursday morning, officers responded to another burglary call in the same block around 1:40 a.m. at a restaurant. Police found the front glass door of that business damaged where five males entered and later fled the scene in a silver sedan, police said.
No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
