Even though conditions are sunny Friday morning in Chicago, the wind chill factors are not as cheery.
Current temperatures at O’Hare International Airport are 17 degrees with a wind chill of negative 8. Farther south at Midway Airport temperatures are 16 degrees with a windchill of negative 9, weather officials said.
On Friday, a high of 31 degrees was expected in portions of north central and northeast Illinois as well as northwest Indiana.
Wind chills near 10 below zero are expected Friday night. On Saturday, officials expected the temperatures to climb to 34 degrees and even higher Sunday at 41.
