Aurora man sentenced to 109 years in prison for child sexual abuse and child pornography

An Aurora man has been sentenced to 109 years in state prison for child sexual abuse and manufacturing child pornography, according to a news release Tuesday from the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Ronald J. Lye, 54, of the 1600 block of Fairwood Place in Aurora, was found guilty in January by Kane County Judge David Kliment of 32 counts relating to manufacturing and possessing child pornography, along with 12 counts of criminal sexual abuse, Tuesday’s release said. He also must register for life as a sexual offender.

Lye is required to serve at least 50% of the 109-year sentence, officials said.
