As a medic in Iraq, Ryan Mains saw plenty of horror. The Huntley resident eventually had to leave his career as a firefighter and paramedic after he faced more disturbing events and he finally was diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder. Now he helps others through his ultramarathon charity runs and a beer promotion in East Dundee.
