A man was killed in a traffic accident on Halsted Street in Morgan Park Sunday around 12:15 a.m., according to Chicago Police.
Police said a silver sedan was traveling northbound on Halsted Street when a 69-year-old male driver lost control of his vehicle. The driver hit a median, became airborne and hit a tree before his vehicle came to rest near the 11100 block of South Halsted Street. The victim sustained severe trauma from the accident and was pronounced dead on the scene.
Major Accident Detectives are investigating the accident.
