Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Rieth Riley Construction will close the intersection of Indiana 149 and County Road 875 N/Robbins Road in Porter County on or after Monday.
The intersection will be closed to all traffic through the end of August for an intersection improvement project. Turn lanes will be added on Indiana 149 and work will be done to improve the sight lines at the intersection. This project was originally announced to begin in early April but was delayed due to utilities.
Motorists should seek alternate routes. The official detour for Indiana 149 will follow U.S. 20, Indiana 49 and U.S. 6.
