Carmel sophomore quarterback Trae Taylor has committed to play at Nebraska.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Taylor, who is considered one of the top quarterbacks in the 2027 class, announced his decision via YouTube on Thursday afternoon.
Taylor had offers from dozens of NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision programs, including national champion Ohio State and playoff qualifiers Georgia, Indiana, Oregon and Tennessee. He had narrowed his choices to Illinois, LSU, Nebraska and Texas A&M.
Taylor passed for 3,061 yards and 20 touchdowns and rushed for 437 yards and five touchdowns for the Corsairs (4-7) last season, his first as their starter. He was named all-conference in the CCL/ESCC White.
Nebraska (7-6) defeated Boston College 20-15 in the Pinstripe Bowl in December.
