Boy, 14, wounds man during a domestic disturbance Thursday night in Kenwood

Chicago police are questioning a person of interest after a 33-year-old man was critically wounded Thursday night during a domestic disturbance in the Kenwood neighborhood.

Shortly after 11 p.m., officers responded to a call at residence in the 4800 block of South Drexel Boulevard. A 33-year-old woman was involved in a domestic incident with a 33-year-old man who pulled out a knife. A 14-year-old boy then pulled out a weapon and shot the man.

The man suffered a wound to the shoulder and was taken to UChicago Medicine where he was listed in critical condition, police said.

Detectives were investigating the circumstances leading up to the shooting and were speaking to a person of interest.
