A 15-year-old boy was killed in a drive-by shooting Saturday evening in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side, according to Chicago police.
The boy, whose identity wasn’t immediately released, was standing near the sidewalk in the 400 block of West 110th Street just after 6 p.m. when a dark-colored vehicle approached him, police said. Someone inside the vehicle fired shots, hitting the boy in the neck and abdomen.
He was transported to Comer Children’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Police said no suspects are in custody and that detectives are investigating the shooting. An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday.
