A verbal dispute between two drivers turned deadly early Saturday morning, when a 35-year-old man was shot multiple times in Humboldt Park.
The victim was seated in his vehicle and became involved in a heated exchange with an unidentified male in a separate car, according to police. The verbal altercation quickly escalated when the victim exited his vehicle, and the offender, who remained inside his own car, pulled out a firearm and fired several shots at the man.
The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds across his body, according to police. He was transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The shooter fled the scene following the incident.
No one is in custody. Area Five Detectives are investigating.
