Only about 20% of Kane County’s COVID-19 shots have gone to Hispanic residents, who make up about 33% of the population. Addressing the disparity will take recruiting trusted influencers to help dispel deep-rooted misconceptions about the vaccine’s safety, county elected officials and health experts said Wednesday.
