An Addison vehicle repair shop received assistance from the Addison Fire Protection District Tuesday to hose down about 14,000 hens on a broken-down semi truck traveling between farms in Indiana to Wisconsin. The fire battalion chief estimated between 500 to 1,000 died from heat exhaustion, but the rest were later picked up by another truck.
