Latino leaders and organizations held a call-to-action event Thursday at the Gail Borden Public Library in Elgin to motivate people in their community to get vaccinated. They said that 60% of new COVID-19 cases in towns with large hispanic populations, such as Elgin, Aurora and Wauconda, are unvaccinated Latinos.
