Two Daily Herald staffers were honored Thursday at the American Legion national convention with their 2021 Fourth Estate Award for outstanding achievement in the field of print journalism. Senior multimedia journalist Rick West attended the ceremony in Phoenix to receive the award for the work he and senior writer Elena Ferrarin did on a series of ‘unclaimed’ veteran funerals last year.
