Kane County sheriff’s officials say an Aurora man is alive thanks to a dramatic rescue by a good Samaritan who pulled the 72-year-old from his car before it was struck by a train. The Kane County hero tells how it went down: “I knew it was close, but I couldn’t leave him on the tracks. … I had to get him out.”
