A decade after Jacob Jurinek lost his mother to cancer, the maternal, nurturing figures in his life were unable to fathom his death. The 21-year-old and his best friend Franco Patino were among the eight young people killed Saturday in the crowd surge at the Astroworld music festival in Houston.
