Good afternoon, Chicago.
The wait is over. In his third year as a finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Chicago Bears great Devin Hester is expected to break through and be formally announced tonight in Las Vegas as a member of the Class of 2024.
Hester will be joined in that prestigious group by former Bears defensive tackle Steve McMichael and, very likely, pass rusher Julius Peppers. They will be enshrined Aug. 3 in Canton, Ohio, adding to the Bears’ huge presence in the Hall.
Here’s how Hester, McMichael and Peppers came to the Bears.
