Plans for 132 luxury apartments, a hotel and three restaurants are being proposed near a busy Orland Park intersection.
Called the Crossroads of Orland Park, the development would be on nearly 16 acres southeast of the intersection of La Grange Road and 159th Street, according to plans submitted to the village and under review.
Several years ago, conceptual plans were submitted to the village for developing the property, but did not advance.
The project is proposed by Inter-Continental Real Estate & Development.
The company is proposing three five-story apartment buildings, each with 44 units. The buildings would have a mix of studio, 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments, according to plans.
Outdoor amenities would include fenced dog runs, bocce ball courts, fitness area and fire pits.
Each building would have 21 indoor parking spaces as well as outdoor parking, according to plans.
A 4-story, 107-room Home2 Suites, an extended stay Hilton product, is also proposed on 159th east of La Grange.
Two 4,000-square-foot restaurants, both of which would include a drive-through, are proposed along with a 6,000-square-foot restaurant with outdoor seating.
Possible tenants for the restaurant spaces have not been determined.
Two restaurants would be on La Grange Road, to the north and south of a La-Z-Boy Furniture store, according to plans. Another would be on 159th to the east of a Pep Boys auto supply store.
New streets running north-south and east-west through the interior of the development would be built, according to plans. A special service area would be created to cover the development, with a fee or tax assessed on properties in order to pay for maintenance of streets and common areas, which would be privately owned, according to plans.
