Argument leads to stabbing overnight on CTA platform in the Loop

A 42-year-old man was stabbed after an argument turned physical Tuesday night on a CTA platform in the Loop neighborhood, Chicago police said.

About 11:45 p.m., a man was involved in an argument on a CTA platform in the 100 block of West Lake Street when the person he was arguing with brandished a sharp object and lunged toward the victim, police said.

The victim suffered a cut to the right hand and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was listed in good condition.

The suspect fled the scene, and no one was in custody. Detectives were investigating.
