Growing up, music was a way for Local Motive co-founder Mike Vinopal to navigate his feelings when he didn’t have the knowledge or vocabulary to understand what was going on in his mind. “Music stuck because I think, without realizing it, it was like survival.” The band’s newest release, “Slice of Life,” carries on that self-expression.
