Mary Stitt, retired principal of the Arlington Heights elementary school that bears her name, is celebrating her 100th birthday on April 14. Stitt, who reads the newspaper on her iPad and participates in a book club, attributes her longevity to good nutrition, avoiding cigarettes, and being a lifelong learner.
