At least 59 arrested overnight near Pride Parade, including 9 juveniles, cops say

At least 59 people, including nine juveniles were arrested overnight near the Pride Parade ranging from obstruction of traffic, failure to obey police and misdemeanor and felony infractions, Chicago police said.

At least four firearms were recovered in the arrests, police said.

Tuesday morning, Chicago police said 24 people were arrested and given various misdemeanor charges including reckless conduct, battery and assault, resisting/obstructing officers and criminal damage to property. At least 14 people were given felony charges.

Six people were written citations for disorderly conduct/failure to obey police, six were cited for obstruction of traffic by non-motorist, and one person was taken into custody on an arrest warrant, police said.

Of the arrested, at least 14 people were given felony charges which ranged from drug possession, weapons charges and battery to a police officer.  Charges were pending for two individuals who were taken into custody.
