ATM stolen from Lincoln Park grocery store early Monday

An ATM was stolen from a Lincoln Park grocery store early Monday, according to Chicago police.

Several people broke a store window around 4 a.m., tied a chain around the cash machine and pulled it with a red SUV, police said.

The people then fled the store, which is located in the 500 block of West Diversey Parkway, with the ATM.

They were not in custody and detectives were investigating the incident, according to the Chicago Police Department.
