Shredding event planned in Montgomery
The village of Montgomery and Earthmover Credit Union are partnering to offer the community a free drive-thru paper shredding event from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 10, at the Montgomery Police Station, 10 Civic Center Ave. on the village’s west side.
The event is designed to offer a convenient, accessible and easy way for community members to recycle and destroy papers containing sensitive material and information, event organizers said.
The drive-thru event is free, but a two-box shredding limit does apply to each vehicle, organizers said. The event does not require advance registration and is first come, first served.
Earthmover Credit Union volunteers will be at the site collecting donations for those interested in raising money for Earthgivers, the charitable arm of the Earthmover Credit Union that raises money and awareness for local families and organizations in need.
