Sherman Hospital doctors on Nov. 16 performed their 100th TAVR procedure on John Schweisthal of Batavia, to treat valve and structural heart conditions, including aortic stenosis, without open heart surgery. Schweisthal was preparing to have hip replacement surgery when his doctors told him he needed the heart procedure first.
