Wagering with BetMGM
Miami Heat (-350) vs. Washington Wizards (+275)
The Wizards have struggled this year, to say the least. While we hesitate to point to one issue, the defense — or lack thereof — is a glaring issue.
When Jordan Poole has been on the court, he’s failed to pick up or help at all. Kuzma hasn’t done much better.
The Heat come into D.C. with just one win in the last six games. Even still, the smart money is obviously on Miami. They’ve been solid defensively again this year and have dominated the glass even against superior opponents. We’ll key off on both of those for the Friday wagers.
The total is 233.5 which seems a bit high but there’s a more appealing wager on the spread, currently at eight in favor of the heat. Miami matches up well against the Washington. Even without Duncan Robinson, they’re in a position to massively outscore the Wizards.
Obviously, garbage time is always an uncertainty with games like this but bet on the Heat to beat the spread.
